MEYER, Gertrude Elizabeth - age 93, of Fenton, died Monday, February 1, 2016 at St. Joseph Mercy - Livingston. Services will be held 12:30 PM Thursday, February 4, 2015 at Tyrone Covenant Presbyterian Church, 10235 White Lake Rd., Fenton with Pastor James Mascow officiating. Interment will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-9 PM Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Visitation will also be held 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM Thursday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Tyrone Covenant Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Myer was born August 17, 1922 in Bay City, the daughter of Andrew Carl and Elizabeth (Bauer) Eichinger and was a 1940 graduate of Bay City Central High School. She married Benjamin Meyer on November 16, 1946 and he preceded her in death on January 19, 2006. Mrs. Meyer was a member of Tyrone Covenant Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed camping with her family and walking in the woods and nature preserves. Surviving are: five children, Elizabeth (John) Anstedt of Ft. Myers, FL, Patricia (Earl) Richards of Fowlerville, John (Sylvia) Meyer of Houghton Lake, Andrew (Betsy) Meyer of Fowlerville, Benjamin (Carole) Meyer of Brighton; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Martin (Polly) Eichinger of Midland. She was preceded in death by: her husband; two brothers, Louis and Adolf Eichinger; one sister, Charlotte Buse. Friends may share an online tribute on the obituary page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
