Gertrude M. Hunt

HUNT, Gertrude M. - Age 81, a resident of Genesee Twp., died Thursday, November 25, 2004, at McLaren Regional Medical Center.  Mrs. Hunt was born in Mission, South Dakota on May 15, 1923 and was a proud member of the LaCourte Orielles Tribe of the Ojibwa Nation.  She has lived in Flint for many years and the Mt. Morris area since 1971.  She attended Flint Public Schools and later graduated from Kearsley High School.  She retired from Kearsley Schools in 1990 where she had been a school bus driver.  Surviving are her children: Sandra M. Baumgard and husband Rod of Adair, Oklahoma, James E. Dart of Owosso, Diana Lynn Conner and husband Berdan of Laingsburg, MI, Donna Attardi and husband Charles of New Castle, PA, George A. Arnett and wife Sue of Flint, Danis E. Arnett of Davison, MI, Robert Arnett and wife Barbara of Flint and Bonnie Dues and husband Barry of Clio.  Also surviving are 23 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clayton, a son Leo Cole and a brother and 2 sisters.  Cremation has taken place, however, there will be a service of remembrance at 3:00 PM Saturday, December 4, 2004 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd.  Mrs. Celia Booth will officiate.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until time of service.  Friends may share online condolences with the family at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
