Gerald "Jerry" Levasseur

LeVASSEUR, Gerald "Jerry" L. - age 84, of Swartz Creek, died January 31, 2022. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 2415 Bagley St, Flint, MI 48504 with Fr. Thomas Firestone celebrant. Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Flint.  The family will receive friends from 10 AM - 11 AM Tuesday at the church. Jerry graduated from St. Michael's Catholic High School, class of 55.  He was an electrician with I.B.E.W. Local 948 for 50 years.  Jerry was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church and St. Joseph Workers.  He loved riding Old Thunder (his Harley) and dodging alligators on the golf course in Florida.  On September 19, 1959 he married Delores Dooley.  Jerry was preceded in death by parents, Joseph and Mable LeVasseur; his wife, Delores in 1999; infant children, Rebecca and Charles; daughter, Cathi in 2010; son, Thomas "Big T" in 2019; brother, Richard.  Surviving are his sons, Butch and Jim.  At his 45th Class Reunion of St. Michael, Jerry and Jan (Gardner-Coughlin) rekindled their friendship and were later married April 27, 2002, at St. Joseph Catholic  Church in Gaines.  Surviving are his loving wife, Jan; six step-daughters, and son-in-laws, with thirteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.  Those desiring may make contributions to the charity of your choice.  Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek.
