Geraldine L. WIDIGAN

WIDIGAN, Geraldine L. - age 89, of Flint, died Saturday, November 5, 2011. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, November 14, 2011 at McFarlan Home, 700 East Kearsley, Flint. Pastor Larry McMellen will officiate. Interment will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Those desiring may make contributions to Avalon Hospice. Geraldine was born July 19, 1922 in Topeka, KS, the daughter of William and Beulah (Wood) Brian. She lived in the Flint area for many years before retiring in Arizona and returning to Michigan in 2006. She was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WWII. She is survived by 3 children, Debbie Campbell, Larry (Sharon) Widigan and Becky (Chris) Garske; grandchildren, Sara Campbell, Jonathon (Katie) Campbell, Andrew Garske, Robert Widigan, Zachary Garske and Eli Garske; sister, Donavene Liggett. Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, John. The family would like to give a special thanks to Avalon Hospice, McFarlan Home, Apple Blossom Assisted Living and Dr. Yi and his wife Marie.
