Geraldine T. SOBOTA

SOBOTA, Geraldine T. -- Age 85, of Swartz Creek, died July 30, 2009 at Memorial Health Care, Owosso. Private services were held, with interment in St. Mary Cemetery. Geraldine was born April 13, 1924 in Swartz Creek, the daughter of Anthony and Mary (Krizan) Valasek. She had resided in Swartz Creek her entire life. She was married to John Sobota on November 26, 1955 in Swartz Creek and he preceded her in death October 1, 2007. She retired from AC Spark Plug in 1974 with 32 years of service. She was a member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Surviving are: two sons, Richard J. of Burton, Daniel A. and wife Nanette of Swartz Creek; grandson, Jacob of Swartz Creek; nieces Karen and Patty Spousta. She was also preceded in death by son, Victor; brother, Joseph Valasek; sister, Mildred Spousta; and her parents.
