Geraldine Pickett

Geraldine Mae Pickett (1930 - 2016) Geraldine Mae Pickett was born in Flint, MI, the daughter of Lester B. Holmes and Golda B. (Faust) Holmes. She graduated from Davison High School and earned a Bachelors degree in Mathematics and a Masters degree in Education from Michigan State University. Geraldine married Dale Pickett in 1949 in Davison, MI. Dale and Geraldine moved to Linden, MI in 1954 and were lifelong members of the Linden United Methodist Church. Geraldine taught math and science at Linden and Durand Community Schools until she retired in 1988. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed being creative with various arts and crafts, playing games with her family and friends, gardening, square dancing, singing along to her favorite songs and traveling in the USA and internationally. Geraldine is survived by her daughters (and sons-in-law) Marlana (Jeff) Rosen of Katy, TX, Hope (Jim) Sorge of Lebanon, IN, and Pamela (Lane) Levinson of Dallas, TX; her 5 grandchildren Lindsay (Cole) Popham of Fulshear, TX, Jenna (Kyle) Bazur of Lebanon, IN, Alyssa (Luke) Davis of The Woodlands, TX, Landon Sorge of Lebanon, IN, and Landry Levinson of Dallas, TX; and her 3 great grandchildren Ava Bazur, Vivienne Davis, and Heidi Bazur. She was preceded in death by her husband Dale and her daughter Trudy Ann. A celebration of her life will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 1 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Burial will follow at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of service on Wednesday.
