HOVER, Geraldine Corrine, age 88 of Fenton, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 11, 2024. Geraldine was born March 5, 1935, in Detroit, the daughter of Wilbur and Corrine (Belanger) Good. She graduated from Wayne High School. Geraldine was selfless, caring and incredibly strong. Her wit and sense of humor were intact to the very end. She retired from General Motors and was an outstanding seamstress. God blessed her with creativity and over the years she knitted countless hats, sewed placemats, and made flowers for multiple charities. Geraldine looked forward to daily phone calls and frequent visits from those close to her. She loved garage sales, crafting, playing cards, and there isn't a Lifetime movie she hasn't seen. Geraldine never turned down a trip to the casino and looked forward to her "girls trips." Geraldine is survived by, her son, Donald (Tonia) Kunze; daughter Sherrie (Steve) Steen; stepsons Richard Hover and Brian Hover; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 3 great - great grandchildren; her siblings, Wilbur Good, Hank (Nancy) Good, and Sally Brindley; and several nieces and nephews. Geraldine was preceded in death by, her parents; husband, Donald Hover; daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Jerry Craig; son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Denise Kunze; and daughter, Linda Kunze; grandson, John Gudnason; brother, Dale Good; brother-in-law, Larry Brindley; sister-in-law Reta Good; and several loving pets. Cremation arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. The family will have a private memorial in the coming days. Geraldine will be laid to rest at the Selkirk Cemetery, Ogemaw County, in early spring.
