GLYNN, Geraldine Anna 'Gerry' - Age 93, of Flushing, died Saturday, November 25, 2006 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral Mass will held 11AM Monday, November 27, 2006 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 2415 Bagley St., Flint, Fr. Douglas Osborne celebrant. Burial will follow in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held 3-8PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to be used according to their wishes. Gerry was born on January 23, 1913 in Flint the daughter of Anna and Lester Hall. In 1931, while still a teenager she became the first waitress at the newly opened Italia Gardens on North Saginaw Street. She married William Glynn on July 26, 1941 and he preceded her in death in 1999. For several years prior to her marriage, she worked at Buick in the main office, where her outgoing personality gained her many life long friendships. She was a 1971 retiree of the Flint Board of Education Department and a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church. She also loved baking. Gerry leaves behind 2 daughters, Narena and Karena Glynn of Flushing; son, Michael and wife Joyce of Barrington, IL; 2 grandchildren, Kelly Glynn and Patrick Glynn; 2 sisters, Betty and husband Jack Sincock of Flint, Virginia and husband George Sheppard of Swartz Creek; sister-in-law, Winifred Glynn of Rhode Island; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Slyvester Hall; 3 sisters, Madeline Whalen, Bernadette Bitters and Pauline Callahan.
