DOWLAND, Geraldine Frances "Ma Belcher" - Age 81, of Flint, died Saturday, September 22, 2012. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint, with Chaplain Todd Regester officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to the Genesee County Humane Society. Mrs. Dowland was born March 16, 1931 in Cheboygan, the daughter of William Delmar and Mary (Grawey) Gaynor. She married Delane Dowland in 1985 and he preceded her in 1997. She worked as a cashier for Bakers Drug Store and McKay's Market. Surviving are: 4 children, William (Debbie) Belcher of Burton, Margaret (Nelson) Muma of Durand, Cynthia (Glenn) Armstrong of Swartz Creek and Teresa (Jim) McKeny of Flint; 2 step-children, Tracy (Tim) Smith of Florida and Terry Dowland of Mt. Morris; son-in-law, Ivan Gable of Drummond Island 11 grandchildren, Dylan, Patienz, Zachary, Tessa, Jessica, Brenda, James, Robert, Mindy, Shawna and Kelly; several great grandchildren; family friend Steve Carr and her faithful companion, Ginger.
