Gerald Wayne THOMPSON

Thompson, Gerald Wayne, age 47, of Burton, passed away Sunday, April 11, 2010. Funeral services will be 10 AM Friday, April 16, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc Township. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 PM and Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Gerald was born in Flint the son of Garland Wayne and Judy Jean (Hawkins) Thompson. Gerald had worked for the Flint Journal for over 20 years, was a member of the US Army Reserve and loved to fish and tinker. He married Romona Tyree, May 15, 1998 in Burton. Survivors include; his wife Romona, sisters, Julie Byrd and Melissa Dennis and husband Tony, 1/2 sister, Erica Thompson, step-son, Shane Tyree and his wife Christina, grandson, Cormac Tyree, mother-in-law, Louise V.
