SMITH, Gerald G. "Jerry"- age 79, of Swartz Creek, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2019. Graveside services will be held 11 AM Monday, May 6, 2019 at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel, 9506 Dort Hwy, Mt. Morris. Pastor Autumn Howard officiating. Visitation will be 2-5 PM Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Contributions would be appreciated to the Michigan Humane Society. Jerry was born November 2, 1939 in Flint the son of Grant and Claribell (Williams) Smith. Jerry proudly served in the US Navy. He retired from GM as an Inspector at GM Metal Fab after 40 years of service. Jerry was a member of the AMVETS. He enjoyed playing Pinochle at the Swartz Creek Senior Center. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, traveling, and visiting casinos. Jerry was an avid fan of U of M football and UCON women's basketball. Surviving are: daughter, Peggy Sue Warren; granddaughter, Ashley (Jeremy) Boisvert, great grandchildren, Annabella, and Seth; and good friend, Elisabeth Atwell.
