Gerald Thomas SANBORN

SANBORN, Gerald Thomas "Jerry" - Age 73, of Linden, died Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at Genesys Hospice Care Center. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Thursday, September 16, 2010 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St, Fenton. Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Burial in St. John Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton Wednesday from 1-5 and 6-9 PM and at church Thursday from 10:00 AM until time of Mass. A vigil service will be held at the funeral home 7:30 PM Wednesday, followed by a Knight of Columbus Memorial Service. Those desiring may make contributions to St. John School or St. John G.I.F.T. Campaign. Jerry was born October 20, 1936 in Flint, the son of Robert and Marguerite (Miner) Sanborn. He was a 1954 graduate of St. Matthew Catholic High School. He was an Auto Parts Sales Rep. for many years. Jerry was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus Fenton Council #7418 and 4th Degree Fenton Assembly #2031. Surviving are: wife, Gloria; 8 children, Michael Sanborn of Linden, Ronald and wife Lisa Sanborn of Houghton Lake, Mary Kay and husband Fritz Schwarz of Linden, Karen and husband Marvin Swanson of Fenton, Daniel and wife Becky Sanborn of Fenton, Janice and husband Daniel Diehl of Falmouth, Audrey Wardin of Fenton and Rhonda and husband John Connor of Gaines; 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; sister, Maryrose Somers of Flint; 2 brothers, Bill and wife Shirley Sanborn of Flint and John and wife Zada Sanborn of Gaines; sister-in-law, Toni Sanborn of Swartz Creek; brother-in-law, Douglas and wife Lisa Drummond of Northport; several nieces and nephews.
