Gerald Rexin

Gerald Gilbert Rexin, --  Age 83 died peacefully Thursday December 30, 2021 at McLaren Hospital Flint. Mr. Rexin was born February 6, 1938 in Detroit Michigan the son of the late Gilbert Herbert and Eulaine (Oehring) Rexin. Jerry graduated from  Saint Rita High School (Detroit) in 1956. He worked for Blue Cross &
Blue Shield of Michigan for most of his career, retiring in 1986. He is survived by his children Mark (Heather) of Spring Creek, NV, Michael (Linda) of Lennon, MI, Rick (Jessica) of Lawrenceburg, IN, and Julia  Rexin of Grand Blanc, MI. Jerry had 11 Grandchildren, Brandon Woodward, Wesley, Alex, Brandon Rexin, Cameron, Colin, Matthew, Chelsey, Reiss, Hazel, and Evie as well as three great granddaughters Tatum, Peyten and Amelia. Siblings Sue (Leyon - deceased) Harper, Pam (Gary) Anguilm, Bill (Karen) Rexin, Patty (Mark) Shepherd and Tim Rexin and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are his parents, beloved wife Shirley, and siblings Barbara, Sharon and Randy.
Gerald loved the Lord and was very active with his Lutheran church community. He loved family gatherings, was a World War II aficionado, loved feeding and watching the birds, and especially loved rooting for his MSU Spartans! A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring.
