Gerald Ovington

OVINGTON, Gerald J. -- Age 78 of Fenton formerly of Detroit died August 8, 2015. A memorial service will be held 1PM on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at The Freedom Center, 2473 W. Shiawassee Ave., Fenton. Pastor Jim Weigand officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30PM until the time of service. Contributions may be made to The Salvation Army. Gerald was born October 14, 1936 the son of Anthony and Eileen (MacNamee) Ovington in Detroit. He married Mary M. Mulcahey on September 2, 1961 in Detroit.He worked as a distributor for Sullivan & O'Sullivan. He attended The Freedom Center in Fenton and a very active member of Alcoholics Anonymous where he helped many people. Gerald also loved to go fishing. Survived by: wife Mary M. Ovington, children; Denise (Frank) Sharlow, Patrick (Susan) Ovington, Michael (Kelly) Ovington and Jennifer (David) Macklin, as well as 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
