Gerald "Jerry" Myers

MYERS, Gerald D. - Age 73, of Swartz Creek, died Monday, March 19, 2007 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday, March 23, 2007 at Bethel Park Free Methodist Church, G-6020 Corunna Road, Flint. Interment will follow at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held 7-9 PM Wednesday and 2-5 and 7-9 PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association. Jerry was born January 21, 1934 in Flint, the son of George Alfred and Gladys Irene (Shell) Myers. He graduated from Dye High School in 1953. He married Beverly Wallace October 23, 1954, and they have celebrated 52 years of marriage. He owned and operated Jerry Myers Plumbing, and was a member of Bethel Park Free Methodist Church. Jerry is survived by his wife, Beverly; 2 daughters, Bonita Marie (Bunny) and husband Keith Benjamin of Williamston, Wendy Sue and husband Paul Perez of Flint; sisters, Helen and husband Jack Warram of Florida, Barbara Jenkins of Swartz Creek, Virginia Ball of Florida, Pat and husband Don Smith of Lake Michigan, Betty and husband Lester Holmes of Beaverton and Florida; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jacob and wife Betty Brisendine of Swartz Creek; Grandchildren, Keegan Lockwood, Kameron and wife Vickie Lockwood, Korey Lockwood, Shealyn Benjamin; great-granddaughter, Kailah Lockwood; great-grandson, Kavin Lockwood, expected next week; many nieces and nephews.
