KETCHMARK, Gerald (Jerry) Matthew - age 84 of Fenton, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, July 9, 2022. Jerry was born in Flint, MI on April 15, 1938, to the late Ralph and Ella (Smith) Ketchmark. He married Marie Ahearn on February 4, 1961, and just celebrated 61 years of marital bliss. Jerry was employed as an electrician with General Motors / AC / Delphi for 30 years and he also served in the Army. After retiring from General Motors, Jerry and Marie moved to Grayling, MI for nearly 30 years enjoying all that the great north had to offer. Jerry was an avid sports fan and was a true Detroit Tigers fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, and in his later years watching deer come in to feed from his kitchen window. He was a member of the Eagles in Grayling, Kalkaska and Fenton as well as the Moose Lodge in Grayling and Fenton. Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Marie of Fenton; daughters, Debra (Brad) Koch of Holly, Lynn Ketchmark of Fenton and Denise Ketchmark of Fenton, as well as his grandchildren, Kaitlynne (Tom) Watt of Holly, Mitchell Koch of Grand Blanc, Rakia Ketchmark of East Lansing, and Damion Ketchmark of Fenton; his great grandson, Hunter Watt; sister, Shari Sinclair of Burton; brothers, Dale Ketchmark of Lakeland, FL, Dennis (Gina) Ketchmark of Auburndale, FL and Ted Ketchmark of Burton; his brother-in-law, Frank Ahearn of Burton, as well as many nieces and nephews. Jerry was preceded in death by his son, Duane Ketchmark, his parents, Ralph and Ella Ketchmark, his father-in-law, Francis M. Ahearn, his mother-in-law, Regina (Watchowski) Ahearn, his brothers, Gary Ketchmark and Phillip Ketchmark, his niece, Stephanie Sinclair, and his brother-in-law, Thomas Sinclair. The Ketchmark family would like to thank caretaker Myranda Hawley as well as Wellbridge of Fenton and Compassus Hospice for all their assistance during this difficult time. At the request of Jerry, cremation has already taken place. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 9:30 AM Saturday, August 27, 2022, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton, MI 48430 with Fr. David Harvey celebrant. A rosary will be prayed at 9 AM Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to either St. John Educational Foundation's Fr. Harvey Legacy Fund, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton, MI 48430 or to help those in Jerry's life affected by Alzheimer's Disease donations can be made to Alzheimer's Association of Greater Michigan - Flint Chapter, 1125 S.
