Gerald Barkman Sr.

BARKMAN, Gerald Elwyn Sr. - Age 83, of  Burton, died January 26, 2021. In accordance with Gerald's wishes cremation will take place. Arrangements are being handled by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center,  6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc.

Gerald was born November 9, 1937 in Clyde, Michigan, the son of Elwyn and Mildred (Belbeck) Barkman. He married Arlene Mathie on November 1, 1958. Gerald worked as an auto body technician for many years before his retirement. He enjoyed drag racing, snowmobiling, model cars and coaching softball.

He is survived by his five children, Jerilyn (Terry) Bolen of Otisville, Cindy (Ken) Hadden of Flint, Gerald Jr. (Danielle) Barkman, Amy Yount (Troy Gross) of Chesaning, Carrie (Al) Keahl of Metamora; grandchildren, Dale, Melissa, Scott, Darrick, Gary, Hunter, Gabrielle, and Brenden; and several nieces and nephews.

Gerald was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene Barkman; parents; daughter Dana Flynn; grandchildren, Jennifer, Garrett and Jackie; and sister, Deanna Stevens. Tributes may be shared on the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
