SCHRAM, George R. - Age 88, of Flint died Friday, October 20th, 2006 at Genesys Hospice Care Center in Goodrich. Funeral service will be held at 11AM Monday, October 23rd, 2006 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, MI. Interment will follow at Maple Cemetery. Visitation 4-8PM Saturday and 1-4 & 6-8PM Sunday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Genesys Hospice Care Center or the American Cancer Society. Mr. Schram was born on August 31st, 1918 in Flint, MI the son of Claude and Leah (Pidd) Schram. He graduated from Flint Central High School in 1936 and was a lifelong resident of the Flint area. He married Peaches on August 29th, 1942. Mr. Schram was employed by General Motors Chevrolet Manufacturing Group for more than 30 years, retiring in 1975. He was also a 50 year member of Mt. Morris Free and Accepted Masons #535. He enjoyed camping and card playing. He was a good handyman and a wonderful father and husband. Surviving are; 2 daughters, Adell Westrick of Bozeman, Montana and Carolyn Bailey (Barry) of Flushing, Daughter-in-law Gloria Schram of Lennon, and good special friend Lydia Stovey of Flint.
