Popovich, George M. of Fenton, age 88, died April 16, 2020 at Bella Vita Assisted Living. Cremation has taken place. George was born in Flint, Michigan on January 10,1932, the son of Michael and Susie Popovich. He was a graduate of Flint Northern High School, class of 1950, Michigan State University and a veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Fenton. George spent his entire career in real estate sales and rentals and was a retired appraiser for the Genesee County Equalization Dept. He was an active member of the Kiwanis Club of Fenton, Genesee County Landlords Association and the Lake Fenton Property Owners Association. George is survived by sisters-in-law Lora Popovich of Fenton, Brenda Abbott of Davison, and Beverly Cornel of Oscoda, and several nieces and nephews. George was preceded in death by his wife Suzanne, brothers Michael, John and Andrew, sisters Irene Popovich, Anna Klee, Maryanne Vaydik, and Helen Dunham. George will be greatly missed by his remaining family members and the many friends he made along his way. He will always be remembered for his good natured wise cracks made to almost everyone he encountered.
