George Pellett

PELLETT, George Davis - Age 91, of Fenton and Naples, FL, died March 16, 2015. Visitation will be held 10:30 AM until the time of service at 12:00 PM Monday, May 18 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Interment is scheduled for 1:30 PM at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Fenton V.F.W. Post 3243. George was born December 23, 1923 in Flint, the son of George and Carolyn (Davis) Pellett. He was a proud veteran of the US Army, serving in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. He was an owner of Pellett's Department Store in Fenton following the War and served as director of The State Bank for many years. George was a member of the Fenton XX Club. He enjoyed many happy times at Spring Meadows Country Club with his family and friends. He was the proud husband of Marion (Becky) for 60 years. She predeceased him in 2003. He was also preceded in death by his son, James and brother, Jack Pellett. George is survived by his children, Mary Kaye (Robert) Schmelzer, Carolyn R. Pellett and George D.
