George J. McCormick

McCORMICK, George J. - Age 80, of Byron, died Saturday, February 5, 2005 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Private services have been held. A memorial service will be held at a later time. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society. Mr. McCormick was born April 27, 1924 in Highland Park, MI, the son of George and Mary (Paterson) McCormick. He was a pilot in the U.S. Air Force serving from 1943-1947. He retired from the Michigan Credit Union League in 1983. Mr. McCormick was an avid animal lover, and a hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. Surviving are: wife, Joanne; 3 children, Cherie McCormick, Marty McCormick, Jain (Marc) Harrison; 3 granddaughters, Marlena, Mariel, and Julianne; sister, Delores (Marvin) Moldowan. He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald on January 1, 2005.
