George Paul Mallia

MALLIA, George Paul - age 62, of Fenton, died Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at his residence. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Monday at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Gregg Pleiness celebrant. Visitation will be held from 1-5 and 7-9 PM Saturday and Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. A rosary will be prayed 7:30 PM Sunday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Mallia was bon September 26, 1942 in Detroit, the son of Joseph and Georgia (Buttigeg) Mallia. He had resided in Fenton for 28 years. He was a 1960 graduate of McKenzie High School in Detroit and had attended Schoolcraft College. Mr. Mallia retired from Ford Motor Company in 1999. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church. Surviving are: wife, Nancy; four children, Steven Mallia of Troy, David Mallia and wife, Julie of Pinckney, Matthew Mallia of Davison, Laura and husband, Jon Gillespie of Howell; five grandchildren, Taylor, Margaret, Katherine, Grace and Joshua; three brothers, Alfred Mallia of Roscommon, Jospeh Mallia of Farmington Hills, John Mallia of Sarasota, FL; sister, Mary Ann Camilleri of Dearborn Heights.
