George L. Kukler

KUKLER, George L. - age 86, of Flushing, died June 24, 2024. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Monday, July 1, 2024 at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 310 N. Cherry St., Flushing with Rev. Fr. Jonathan Perrotta celebrant. Interment will follow at Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 1-4 and 6-8 PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, MI 48473 where a Knights of Columbus service will be held at 6:45 PM followed by a parish Rosary at 7 PM Sunday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org). George was born February 7, 1938 in Detroit, the son of Lawrence and Helen (Kutschman) Kukler. He married Dolores Slubauckas on May 7, 1960. George received his business degree from Walsh College and retired from General Motors where he was an Accountant and Company Car Coordinator. He enjoyed fishing, baseball, hockey and old cars. George always volunteered his time and helped others whenever possible especially through his involvement with the Knights of Columbus. Surviving are: wife, Dolores; two daughters, Carol (Kurtis) Deline and Karen (James) Jorgensen; eight grandchildren, Ashley (Bryce) Amthor-Shaffer, Ezra (Arika) Ketchum, Jeffrey (Paige) Jorgensen, Adam Jorgensen; Dana Deline (Steven Gregory), Natalie (Michael) Blakemore, Haley (Daniel) Valdez, and Garrison Deline; 11 great-grandchildren, Malcolm, Emory, Marcey, Penelope, Landry, Hadley, Tallulah, Valerie, Evelyn, Mateo, and Benjamin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Helen Kukler and his sister, Caroline (Roy) Grimaldi. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
