DORRANCE, GEORGE EDWARD -- Age 91, of Durand, passed away on February 25, 2016. Graveside Services will be held 12 PM Saturday March 5 at the Greenwood Cemetery, Vernon. Rev. Mark Cox officiating. Arrangements handled by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, MI. George was born in Byron on May, 15, 1924 to W.A. and Amy (Johnson) Dorrance. George proudly Served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. We was employed as a Clerk for the Grand Trunk Rail Road for 32 years, retiring in 1984. He Married June D. Hill on April 9, 1977 in Durand. He enjoyed fishing and boating. George is survived by his 5 children; Edward (Beth) Dorrance, George E. Dorrance II, Verna (Steve) Palacio, Judy Miller and Jim (Terry) Brown; one Brother Bob Dorrance; 8 grandchildren and numerous great grand children.
