George W. Allison, Sr.

ALLISON, George William- Age 59, of Flint Township, died Sunday, September 23, 2007 at Genesys Health Park.  Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, September 27, 2007 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, MI. Burial will follow at Great Lake National Cemetery, Holly.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5-9 PM Tuesday and 1-4 and 6-9 PM Wednesday.  In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to the George William Allison, Sr. Memorial Fund.  George was born December 31, 1947, the son of Donald Evan and Catherine Allison.  He was a veteran of Viet Nam serving in the U.S. Army.  He had worked for Carmen-Ainsworth School District, Finish Master and Buick Motor Division.  He was a member of U.A.W. Local 599, the Burton Eagles Aerie #3814 and the Loyal Order of Moose.  Surviving are: son, George William Allison, Jr. of Davison; 2 grandsons, George William Allison III of Lake City and Evan Donald Allison of Davison; granddaughter, Miranda Sharp of Davison; mother, Catherine Allison of Flint Township; 3 brothers, John and wife Kathy of Flint, Donald and wife Mary of Gaines and Jim and wife Debbie of Chelsea; sister, Betty and husband Glenn Wright of Cincinnati, OH; many nieces and nephews.  "online condolences and tributes may be posted on the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com".
