Genoa Roh

ROH, Genoa Dean (Mosbauer) -- Age 81, of Flint, died unexpectedly Thursday, July 5, 2007, at her residence. Funeral services will be 4 PM Sunday, July 8 at Emanuel Lutheran Church, G-6380 Beecher Rd., Flint. Pastor Steven Lockman officiating. Entombment in Flint Memorial Park Mausoleum, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-9 PM Saturday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek; and 3 PM until the time of the funeral Sunday at the church. Those desiring may make contributions to Emanuel Lutheran Church. Genoa was born May 1, 1926, in Grand Rapids, MI, the daughter of Hubert and Velma Lee "Bonnie" (Welch) Mosbauer. She was a 1945 graduate of Flint Northern High School. She had resided in Flint most of her life and spent 15 years residing in Jackson, MI. She was married to George Peter Roh on May 22, 1948, in Flint; he preceded her in death June 29, 1992. Genoa had worked for The Vogue in Flint, and Jacobson's and Gantos in Jackson. She was very proud of her attempts at beautification of the entrance to her subdivision. She was a member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church, Ida Landa National Sorority, and Amica Sorority. She was a loving, kind mother, grandmother, and loyal friend to many. She especially enjoyed visiting with her family. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Her presence will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Surviving are: three daughters, Marcia and husband Tom Leffler of Jackson, Deborah and husband Mark Yates of Pickerington, OH, Brenda and husband Tom Balchik of Carmel, IN; six grandchildren, Kevin Yates, Laura and husband Marc Wilson, Lisa Yates, Adam Balchik, Allison Balchik, Michelle Balchik; special friend, Hubert Hoskey. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Roh; father, Hubert Mosbauer; step-father, Edward Cameron; brother, Donald Mosbauer; and mother, Velma Cameron.
