Genevieve Ruth MICHALIK

MICHALIK, Genevieve Ruth - Age 87 of Swartz Creek, died Monday, July 26, 2010. Services will be held 1 PM Friday, July 30, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Township. Pastor Dwight Murphy will officiate. The family will receive friends from 11 AM until the time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to Heartland Hospice. Genevieve was born May 21, 1923 in Honor, MI, the daughter of Thomas Lyman and Winetta (Bare) Dow. She was married to Anthony S. Michalik in 1945; he preceded her in death in 1999. Mrs. Michalik was a member of St. Hubert Church in Houghton Lake. She retired from General Motors and was a member of UAW Local #599. Mrs. Michalik loved fishing, hunting, gardening and flowers. Surviving are: children, John and wife Jan Michalik of Swartz Creek, Kathleen Fierstine of Flushing; grandchildren, John Jr., Jill and Robert; seven great-grandchildren.
