KIRK, Genevieve Audrey - Age 88, of Crestview, Florida, formerly of Swartz Creek and Oscoda, Michigan passed away Sunday December 14, 2008 in Florida. Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Saturday, May 16, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, Rev. Randy Schultz officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday from 11:00 AM until time of service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association. Genevieve was born June 20, 1920 in Flint, the daughter of the late Francis Edmund and Mary Ellen (Singer) Cardinal. She married Curtis Calvin Kirk on September 15, 1951 in Angola, Indiana and he preceded her in death on June 20, 2001. Genevieve was a resident of Swartz Creek, and later moved to Oscoda where she lived until moving to Florida to be near family. Surviving are her 6 children, Carol Austin of Panama City, Florida, Bill Flick of Flint, Dan Kirk and wife, Marsha of Crestview, Florida, Alan Kirk and wife, Peggy of Roy, Washington, Mary Jones and husband, Lee of Defuniak Springs, Florida, Jeff Kirk of Tawas; 23 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
