MCGRADY, Geneva Katherine (Coalson) - Age 77, of Flint, formerly of Beckley, West Virginia, passed away Monday, October 5, 2020. Funeral service will take place 5 PM, Thursday, October 8, 2020 at the Hill Creek Church of God, 5363 Hill Rd, Swartz Creek. Pastor Jeff Lambert will officiate. Visitation will take place from 3 PM until the time of service on Thursday. Burial will take place 11:30 AM, Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Park, 1925 Harper Rd, Beckley, WV 25801. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Those desiring may make contributions to the Hill Creek Church of God - Landscaping Fund.
Geneva was born on February 11, 1943, in Beckley, West Virginia, the daughter of Henry and Kate (Sexton) Coalson. She graduated from Stoco High School in Coal City, West Virginia, class of 1961. Geneva married Clifford "Eddie" McGrady on April 5, 2008. She was a member of Hill Creek Church of God where she served as Elder, President of the Ladies Ministry and a member of the Prayer team. Geneva retired from Grand Union, she also worked for attorneys as an office manager as well as WalMart.
Surviving are husband: Clifford E. McGrady of Flint, MI; three children: Keith (Cindy) McGrady of Fenton, Daniel Thomas (Linda) of Roanoke, and Michelle Hooper of Grand Blanc; four grandchildren: Megan McGrady (Stepho), Emila Vela (Casey), John McGrady (Samantha) and Bethany; as well as 8 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ronnie Coalson, Gary Coalson (Kitty) and sister, Betty Bolin (Earl); and special sister-in-law: Evelyn "Glo" Coalson; along with many nieces and nephews. Geneva was preceded in death by her parents Henry Lou and Kate Coalson, brothers, Carl Coalson, David Coalson, Bernard Coalson, Dean Coalson and Rickie Coalson.
