Gene Welk

WELK, Gene Billy - Age 65, of Flint, died April 22, 2016. A memorial gathering will be held 4-8 PM Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Gene was born May 23, 1950 in Flint, the son of Eugene and Carol Joyce (Stanaway) Welk. He was a 1973 graduate of Millington High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Welk had been employed by Independent Newspapers for many years. He is survived by his children: Jeff Welk, James Welk, Teresa Welk Smith, Jarad Welk, Toni Freeman and Joshua Welk; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
