KING, Gay Delight - Age 86 of Swartz Creek, died Sunday, March 4, 2018. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Chaplain Hank Messing officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday from 1-4 and 6-8 PM and Thursday from 10 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to the Gay D. King Memorial Fund c/o Sharp Funeral Homes. Gay was born January 1, 1932 in Thornton, KY, the daughter of Sam and Nannie (Blakely) Webb. She married Gene Paul King October 24, 1949 in Kentucky and he preceded her in death December 17, 1999. She had resided in Swartz Creek for the past 39 years coming from Fenton. Surviving are: 4 children, Dennis (Betty) King of Durand, Eva (Freddy Best) Amyx of Shelbyville, KY, Teresa King of Swartz Creek, and Scott King of Swartz Creek; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; sister, June (Pastor Bill) Craft of Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Jeffrey King; granddaughter, Tonya Mae Boose; and 2 sisters, Juanita Holbrook and Ladevia Frost.
