Gary Lee WOOD

WOOD, Gary Lee - Age 56, of Flint, went to a better place, Tuesday, March 15, 2011. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, March 20, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday from 1-4 and 6-9 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to the Gary Lee Wood Memorial Fund. Gary was born July 7, 1954 in Flint, the son of Howard and June (Smith) Wood. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the 82th Airborn Division. He retired from Delphi in 2007. Gary was a member of the U.A.W. Local 651. He loved being with his grandchildren and camping. He is survived by: 2 children, Gary Wood II of Flint and Brandy (Brett) Walker of Spring Hill, FL; grandson, Nathan Walker; 4 granddaughters, Kayla, Jennifer, Bella and Morgan Wood; his children's mother, Beulah Torrey of Spring Hill, FL; mother, June (James) Wood-Fox of Gladwin; 5 brothers, Larry (Sandy) Wood of Burton, Howard Wood of Mesick, Mark Wood of Fowlerville, Randy (Cindy) Wood of Flint and Jeffery Wood of Flint; 2 sisters, Claudia (Rick) Fejedelem of Evart and Vicky (Brian) Behnke of Flushing; several nieces and nephews.
