Gary Sabo

Gary Sabo, age 76, of Swartz Creek, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2023. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, the family asks that you continue to keep them in your thoughts during this difficult time. Online condolences can be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. 

Gary was born on April 19, 1947 to Benjamin & Lorraine Sabo. He was raised in Otisville, Michigan where as a young boy he started work on the family farm. 

He attended Lakeville High School and after school continued to work as a farmhand growing cash crops and raising cattle whether it be for beef or diary. If the labors of farm life weren't hard enough, he also was employed with Parkers Propane for over 20 years retiring in 2015. Gary's agricultural skills carried over to his home life where he loved to garden. Something not well known of Gary is how much he canned vegetables and how much of a good cook he was. He also enjoyed many years of hunting and fishing with friends and family. Being the hard worker Gary was, he had a difficult time sitting down. He kept busy being a handy-man and tinkering in his garage on endless small projects. 

Gary will be dearly missed by his mother, Lorraine; his children, Brent, Kelly (James), Scott, Chad (Tori) and Christina (Chris). He is further survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many other dear family members and friends. Gary was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin; his son, Gary and his sister, Kris.
