Gary H. Philburn, age 77, of Fenton, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. A Graveside Service will be held in the Spring of 2025, where he will be laid to rest next to his late wife, Martha, at Greenwood Cemetery in Fowlerville, Michigan. Gary was born on June 22, 1947 in Byron, Michigan to the late Donald & Lucille (Hall) Philburn. He attended Byron High School, class of 1965. He worked in tool and dye for General Motors for 30 years before retiring.

In earlier years Gary enjoyed golfing and was on several leagues. Gary and Martha would spend summer months traveling in their fifth wheel to warmer states like Arizona, Florida, and even California. He was a proud member of the El Khurafeh Oriental Band for over 20 years. He loved listening to the beach boys and was a talented drum player himself. In retirement, he devoted much time to yard work, making sure it looked pristine.

He is survived by his daughters, Christina "Tina" (Mark) Gillespie and Paula Philburn; grandchildren, Brianna Gillespie, Aria Gillespie, Tessa Gillespie, Elisha (Chas) Bagy, Evan (Ashleigh) Philburn, Katarenia Bindscheatel, Ahlora Bindscheatel, Abigail Bindscheatel, and AJ Philburn; great-grandchildren, Hunter Smith, Charles Bagy, Landon Philburn, Cade Philburn, Ezmae Babcock, Adleigh Dollar, Tahlia Battles, and Levi Battles; and sister, Peggy (Dennis) Lintemuth. Gary is further survived by other dear family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in by his wife, Martha; and son, Christopher Philburn.
