Gary Howard

Howard , Gary Richard - Age 71 , of Flint, died March 7, 2016. Services will be held 12 Noon Saturday, March 12 at the New Testament Community Church, 3484 Belsay Rd., Burton, Visitation 11-12 Saturday at the church. Gary was born August 5, 1944 in Piggott, Arkansas, the son of the late Richard P. and Billie J. (Bess) Howard. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He married Guadalupe Hernandez on April 28, 1997. He worked as a painter. Surviving are: wife Guadalupe; children, Amy (Jamie) Shields of Kalamazoo, William (Jennifer) McGruther Jr. of Owosso, Gary Blake Howard of Lapeer, Ray (Roni) Howard of Flint, Gary Richard (Karen) McGruther of Arkansas, Joy (Clif) Sharp of Flint; many grandchildren; one great-grandson, Zachary McGruther; siblings, Linda Kay (Charles) Littlecalf, Theron/Rusty (Deborah) Russell II, Lowell K. (Lee) Russell, Deborah (Gary) Durfee; James (Jody) Russell; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Howard, and Billie and Theron Russell; great-grandson, Liam Estrada; and brother Nathan Russell.
