Cornack, Gary Allen - Age 79, of Swartz Creek, died August 29, 2017. Funeral services will be held 1PM, Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Entombment will follow at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Dementia Society of America, The Parkinson's Foundation or to Heart to Heart Hospice. Gary was born May 12, 1938 in Saginaw, the son of Donald and Betty (Murray) Cornack. He resided in Swartz Creek most of his life. Gary married Vera Bowman in Swartz Creek on April 28, 1984. He was employed by General Motors with 32 years of service, retiring in 1994. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Durand Eagles 3851, and Dutch Hollow Golf Club -Durand. He was an avid hunter, golfer, bowler and he enjoyed woodworking. Surviving are wife, Vera; children, Thomas Cornack, Carolyn Norman, Michael (Carrie) Buszka, Melissa (Bob) Isaacson; grandchildren, Nicole (John), Kyle, Aaron, Shawna (Kevin), Travis, Madison; great grandchildren, Skylar, Kaiden, Edward; sister, Nancy (Dick) Roberts; several nieces and nephews; and dog, Maui.
