POST, Gale Frances - Age 82, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at home with her husband by her side. Funeral service will be held 11 AM Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, MI 48473. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Vernon. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Gale was born on June 5, 1941, at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Flint. The daughter of the late James & Frances (Gore) Alexander. She graduated from Swartz Creek High School, Class of 1959. Ronald & Gale were married on August 19, 1961, in Swartz Creek. Gale worked as Secretary to the Head Librarian at the University of Michigan-Flint before becoming a mother and raising her two children. She was a lifelong member of Riverdale Baptist Church. In her free time, she enjoyed arts and crafts, sewing, and making holidays and events special for her family and loved ones. She participated in an antique club, sewing group, and 1959 high school alumni events. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ronald Clare Post and her loving children, David (Sara) Post and Michele (Mark) Hyde; grandchildren, Joseph (Becca), Aaron, Andrew, Lucas (Ruth), Mieka, and Jonathan, great-grandchildren, Jack, and Damien, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
