Gale Cronk

CRONK, Gale M. - Age 89, of Fenton, died June 26, 2018. Services will be held 2 PM Saturday, July 21, 2018 at St. Jude's Episcopal Church, 106 E. Elizabeth St., Fenton. The Reverend Tracie Little will officiate. Visitation will be held 2-8 PM Friday, July 20, 2018 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude's Episcopal Church or Eastern Michigan Hockey Association. Gale was born June 10, 1929, the son of Aloysious and Florence (Moody) Cronk. Gale was born and raised in Cheboygan, MI. He retired from General Motors and was a member of UAW Local #659. Gale was one of the founders of EMHA and MNHL Hockey Leagues and was the founder and owner of Flint Junior Generals Hockey Team. Gale supported many things, including the Community Foundation of Greater Flint. He is survived by his children, Thomas (Sue) Cronk, Kelly (Elizabeth) Cronk, Robin (Daniel) Jewell; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Grant) Weber, Matthew (Jamie) Cronk, Erin Cronk, Robert (Audriana Buchanan) Cronk, Nicole Jewell, Eric (Beth) Jewell, Theresa (Don) Leonard; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Natasha, Madison, Bella Rose, Easton and Dean; great great-granddaughter, Mavis. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gayle on July 26, 2013 and 14 brothers and sisters. Special thanks to Tami, Rachel and the staff of Kindred Hospice and Rockwell Assisted Living.
