EDMONDS, Gail Howard - Age 86, of Flint Township, died Sunday, March 30, 2008 in Dade City, FL.  Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, April 4, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek.  Rev. Harold  Polk officiating.  Burial immediately following in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc.  Visitation will be held 1-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday and Thursday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society or Flint Township Lions Club.  Gail was born July 17, 1921 in Dexter, MO, the son of Virgil and Marian (Perkins) Edmonds.  He married Leila Stiff July 14, 1956 in Flint and she preceded him in death December 26, 2001.  He had worked as a salesman in the meat processing business for many years, working for Peschke, Butcher Boy and Salay's.  He was a member of the Flint Township Lions Club and was a life member of the Fellowship Lodge #490 F.&A.M.  Mr. Edmonds was also a state amateur boxing champion in 1940.  Surviving are: Son, Mark Edmonds and Juanita Nichols of Dade City, FL; step daughter, Patricia Oberlin of Swartz Creek; 3 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson; brother, Keith and wife Dorene Edmonds of Swartz Creek; many nieces and nephews.  He was also preceded in death by his parents and sister, Ruth Miron.  Online condolences and tributes may be posted at the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
