PARSONS, G. Genevieve - age 85, of Flint, embarked on her eternal journey on November 25, 2024, to rejoice with her Lord, leaving an unforgettable legacy that will forever inspire those who knew her. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc, MI 48507. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Flint. Visitation will be held from 4 PM - 8 PM Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Bereavement Fund at South Baptist Church, 4091 Van Slyke Rd, Flint, MI 48507. Genevieve Harville was 5th child of Homer and Eula Harville. As a devoted mother of six, she dedicated herself to serving South Baptist Church for over 68 years. During her years at South Baptist Church, she served as a Sunday school teacher, assisted in the children's department, and cherished working in the Shepherd class, touching the hearts of many through her remarkable perseverance and faith. While raising her six children, she demonstrated extraordinary strength, earning her high school diploma and later receiving her associate degree in arts, before pursuing a fulfilling career as a certified nurse assistant, where she spent 30 years providing compassionate care to the elderly. She was a devoted wife to Walter Parson II for over 34 1/2 before his death on June 3, 2020. Surviving are her sister, Betty Mitchell, children, Richard (Susan) Perez, Sabrina, Kramer, Thomas Perez, and Dara Perez; her grandchildren are Crystal (Calvin) Jamerson, David (Diana) Kaczorowski, Tiffany Perez , Joel (Brooke)Perez, Adam Perez, Catherine Randall and Zachary Henry. Her cherished and beloved 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren brought immense joy. She felt honored and blessed to witness her 5th generation. Preceding her death, two sons, Dennis Perez, and Timothy Perez; Grandson Andrew Henry, son in law Christopher Kramer, her three siblings, Kay Freeman, Marlon Harville and Lonnie Harville.
