Frieda Hobbins

HOBBINS, Frieda Irene -- Age 78, of Swartz Creek, died July 7, 2015. Funeral service will be held 11 AM Saturday, July 11 at Ferris Church of Christ, 3443 N. Crystal Rd., Vestaburg. Minister Joshua Rude officiating. Interment at Ferris Twp. Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1-3 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, and also 10 AM until time of service at the church on Saturday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer's Association. Frieda was born July 18, 1936 in Ferris Center MI. the daughter of Emerson Eugene Corder and Anna May (Oswald) Corder. She married Richard Samuel Hobbins on October 1, 1960. She worked at Mitchell Bentley, Owosso and retired from Hudson's ( Macy's) in 1997. Frieda enjoyed traveling with her family. She enjoyed Scrabble and crossword puzzles. Frieda was very family oriented and her claim to fame was she had 6 children with good morals and ethics. She is survived by her husband Richard; 6 children, Rebecca (Michael) Bur of Lennon, Steven (Cheryl) Webster of South Milwaukee WI, Linda (William) Clayton of Houghton Lake, Sharon (Thomas) Green of Swartz Creek, Karen (Roger) Smith of Swartz Creek, Scott (Angela) Hobbins of Flint; 14 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Charles (Evie) Corder, David (Judy) Corder.
