Frederick "Freddy" Hnilica, Jr.

HNILICA, Frederick Carl "Freddy" Jr. - age 51 of Fenton, passed away April 16, 2022.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Freddy was born May 30, 1970 in Flint, the son of Frederick Carl Sr. and Jane Ann (Johnson) Hnilica.  He was a 1988 graduate of Lake Fenton High School.  Freddy was an extremely talented custom carpenter in all aspects of the trade. There was nothing he couldn't do with a piece of wood.  He was skilled in anything around the house, loved fixing things, and was a jack of all trades!  In his free time he enjoyed spending time in Tawas at his good friend John Gary's house.  Freddy's nieces and nephews held an extra special place in his heart, He treasured their time together doing arts and crafts, baking, tinkering with RC cars, shooting off fireworks, and causing trouble.  Freddy had the biggest heart and would do anything for anyone.  He always thought about others before himself, what they may need, and how he could help. Simply put, Freddy was a sweet guy, with a goofy sense of humor, who always had a smile on his face, loved to laugh, and have a good time. He had countless friends, was loved by everyone, and will be dearly missed. Surviving are: his father, Fred Sr.; 3 siblings, Jennifer Hnilica, Corey Hnilica, Bethany (Jason) Wright; 4 nieces and nephews, Lily, Luke, Riley, and Emmett Wright; fiancée, Lynn Ormsby; many aunts, uncles, and cousins, and his dog Matt.  He was preceded in death by his mother Jane.
