Frederick Joseph VELTHOVEN

VELTHOVEN, Frederick Joseph -- Age 69, of Fenton, died July 21, 2009 at his residence. Services will be held 2 PM Saturday, July 25 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, Rev. Fr. David Harvey officiating. A service by the Fenton VFW Post 3243 Honor Guard will follow. Interment at St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of service Saturday. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society. Mr. Velthoven was born May 10, 1940 in Detroit. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of VFW Curtis Wolverton Post 3243 of Fenton. He retired from Michigan Bell/SBC. Mr. Velthoven was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. He enjoyed boating, his macaw, and antique cars. Surviving are: wife Marsha; three children; two step-children; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Velthoven, Joseph and Eugenia Wisniewski; wife Ingrid in 1986; and brother, Dan.
