PAGEL, Fredrick L. - age 83, of Byron, died Monday, February 12, 2007 at Brian's House Hospice, Davison. Services will be held 11 AM Saturday, February 17, 2007 at Hope Lutheran Church, 7355 Silver Lake Rd., Linden with Rev. Lawrence Eckart officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be held 6-9 PM Thursday and 2-4 and 6-9 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope Lutheran Church or Brian's House Hospice. Mr. Pagel was born September 8, 1923 in Detroit, the son of Fred and Genevieve (Harger) Pagel. He graduated from Redford High School and attended Wayne State University. Mr. Pagel married Roberta Annette Wurst on September 19, 1944 and she preceded him in death on October 22, 1998. He then married Jean (Wagner) Kenny on Septemeber 21, 2002. Mr. Pagel was co-owner and vice president of Detroit Camera Shop for 38 years retiring in 1978. He had resided in Byron since 1993 coming from the Detroit area. Mr. Pagel was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Linden where he served as an Elder, member of the Ministry Task Force and was a former Choir member. Mr. Pagel was a past member or the Vortex Club where he was past-president and the Detroit Executive Association. Surviving are: wife, Jean; daughter, Kathryn and husband, Nelson Scott of Byron; 2 sons, Thomas Pagel and wife, Tempa of MA, Tim Pagel and wife, Linda of Royal Oak; step-son, Brian Kenny and wife, Lisa of Redford Twp.; 2 step-daughters, Anne and husband, Robert Krueger of Fenton, Eileen and husband, Mark Ruhlig of Linden; 13 grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth and husband, Albert Sherman of South Lyon; brother, Stuart Pagel of Northville.
