Frederick C. HEROD

HEROD, Frederick C. - age 90, of South Carolina, formerly of Roscommon, died Monday, November 16, 2009 at Agape Assisted Living in Rock Hill, SC. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Interment will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 AM until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Mr. Herod was born October 18, 1919 in Jackson, MI the son of Lewis and Nellie (Leja) Herod. He was a graduate of Flint Northern High School and had attended GMI. Mr. Herod married Esther Julia Torok on September 30, 1939 in Flint and she preceded him in death on March 26, 1994. Mr. Herod was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during World War II. He retired from General Motors AC Spark Plug Division in 1975 after 39 years of service. He resided in Grand Blanc for many years and retired in 1982 to Higgins Lake and Ft. Myers, FL then to Tega Cay, South Carolina.
