Frederick Alfred GILLILAND

GILLILAND, Frederick Alfred - age 72 of Bancroft, died Saturday, December 25, 2010 at his residence. Funeral services will be held )3 PM Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden with Rev. Donald Neuville officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Monday and 2-4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Gilliland was born September 12, 1938 in Flint, the son of Phillip Samuel and Doris Frances (Morgan) Gilliland and he attended Linden High School. Mr. Gilliland married Henrietta Townsend and she preceded him in death in June 2004. He retired from General Motors Metal Fab in September 1996 after 30 years of service. Mr. Gilliland enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and woodworking. Surviving are: nine children, Sheila (Jim) Robbins of Byron, Anthony (Cyndi) Gilliland of WY, Tracy (Cecile) Gilliland of Bancroft, Jim (Tammy) Smith of Lennon, Rhonda (Jeff) Taylor of Burton, Leah Gilliland (Charlie Cooper) of Lennon, Frederick Gilliland, Jr., Henry Gilliland, Clayton Gilliland, all of Bancroft; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; seven siblings, Kevin Gilliland, Shelly (Kenneth) Baker, Renee Gilliland, Arnie (Karen) Gilliland, Ronald (Barb) Gilliland, Bobby (Shelba) Gilliland, James (Luella) Gilliland; many nieces and nephews.
