Frederick Buchanan CURTIS, Jr.

CURTIS, Frederick Buchanan Jr., "Fred" age 62, of Atlas, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Genesys Health Park. A casual memorial gathering will be held from 1:00 3:00 pm this Sunday (11/06/2011) at the Grand Blanc Moose Lodge (4043 Howe Road). Visitors are welcome to arrive at any time between 1 and 3 to celebrate Fred's life. Memorial donations may be made to the family. Fred was born March 22, 1949 in Flint the son of the late Frederick Buchanan Curtis Sr. and Viola Childers. He married Janet Tracy on May 3, 1968 in Atlas. Fred was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. He was employed by General Motors until his retirement in 1984. Fred enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing and playing cards. He was a loving family man who cared deeply for his wife and children, and adored his grandchildren. Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Janet of Atlas; 3 children, Scott Curtis (Kimberly) of Davison, Tracy Pavone (John) of Grand Blanc, Eric Curtis of Atlas; 4 grandchildren, Sarah, Dominic, Trenton "TJ", Liliana; 2 brothers, Robert Curtis (Nancy), Randy Curtis (Linda); 2 sisters, Pat Boroff (Jim), Barbara Morley; mother-in-law, Mary Tracy; several nieces and nephews. he was also preceded in death by father-in-law, Jack Tracy and brother-in-law, Jerry Morley.
