Frederick C. BROWN

BROWN, Frederick C., age 75, of Flint, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 1PM Wednesday February 15, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center. 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Pastor Louie Cook officiating. Burial at Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris following service. Visitation will be held 1:00PM-4:00PM and 6:00PM-8:00PM Tuesday and 11:00AM until time of service Wednesday. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the College funds of Ryan and Eric Doyle. Mr. Brown was born March 2, 1936 in Flint the son of the late Gideon H. and Loretta L. (Hulverson) Brown. He was joined in marriage to Bertha Barnikow on November 12, 1958 in Flint. Fred served his country the Marine Corp. He retired from Grand Blanc Tank Plant with 35 years of service and was a member of UAW Local 1292. He had a great love for the outdoors where he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his loving family. He was a longtime Flint Generals, Detroit Tigers, and Red Wings Fan. Fred was a generous, gentle, and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his wife Bertha; son, Gary (Donna); daughter, Cheryl Doyle (Troy McKerchie); grandsons, Ryan and Eric Doyle; granddaughter, Ashlie Brown;step granddaughters, Danielle and Alexandria Schwiemann, great granddaughter Lillybug, and grandpup Taven; brother, Don (Jan) Brown, brothers-in-law, John and Stephen Barnikow, Ron (Marie) Schaar; sister-in-law, Norma (Dick) McMann.
