SAWADE, Freda Mae - Age 56, of Fenton, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2024. Funeral services will be held 2:30 PM Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton; The service will be live streamed and can be viewed directly below her obituary here on this page. (The family requests everyone to wear Freda's favorite color, blue). Pastor Edward Chandler officiating. Burial in Fairview Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to the family.

Freda was born August 24, 1967 in Pontiac. She was a 1986 graduate of Clarkston High School. She had resided in the Fenton area for the past 40 years. Freda married Dale James Sawade October 27, 1991 in Fenton. She had been employed by the Dollar Tree in Fenton; and had also been employed by Livingston County Community Mental Health Department. She was a member of Durand Church of God. Freda enjoyed gardening, animals and most of all spending time with her family.

Surviving are: her husband, Dale; daughter, Samantha (Fletcher) Small of Flint; grandchildren, Zarya, Naya and Alayna; sister, Debra (Steven) Hembree of Lapeer; sister-in-law, Kelli (Tim) Kniffel of Fenton; nieces and nephews; special friend, Jim Workman of Fenton; and several other friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her son, Justin Sawade; and mother, Freda Franklin. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
