Freda Farone

FARONE, Freda Marie - age 79, of Fenton, died Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at her residence. Services will be held 11 AM Friday, May 1, 2015 at Resurrection Reformed Church, 5225 Calkins Rd., Flint Twp., with Pastor Kristi Kiel officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Fenton. Visitation will be held 3-8 PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton and from 10 AM - 11 AM Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Resurrection Reformed Church, Quality Living Systems, Carriage Town Ministries or the charity of one's choice. Freda was born July 19, 1935 in Sterling, NY, the daughter of Kenneth and Ellen (Lapeer) Webster. She married E. Richard Farone on April 23, 1988. Mrs. Farone retired as a Sales Director for Mary Kay Cosmetics in 1999 where she won numerous awards, including the pink Cadillac. She enjoyed traveling and loved animals and spending time with her family. Surviving are: husband, Dick Farone of Fenton; six children, Catherine (Robert) Steiner of Flint, Eileen Branoff (Dennis) of Flint, Cindy Branoff (Lee Johnson) of Fenton, Tony Branoff of Flint, Stephen Branoff of UT, and Allison Farone of TX; three grandchildren, Nicole (Chad) Sorensen of IA, Michael Angelo Steiner of Flint and David Sommer of WA; four sisters, Eleanor (Chet) Shumaker of CA, Irene Randall of AZ, Joyce (Dick) Hilton of NY, Elaine (Buck) Taber of AZ; two sisters-in-law, Marietta O'Connell of NY, Barbara Farone of TN; many nieces and nephews; best friend, Doris Sturgeon.
